UFC run

Leavitt announced himself in spectacular fashion in his promotional debut in December 2020, slamming Matt Wiman unconscious for a first-round knockout that became one of the year's signature highlight-reel moments. His momentum stalled in June 2021 when he dropped a unanimous decision to Claudio Puelles, but he rebounded by submitting Matt Sayles with a creative inverted triangle choke in December 2021 and edging Trey Ogden by split decision in April 2022. A high-profile clash with Paddy Pimblett in July 2022 ended in a second-round rear-naked choke loss, a fight that nonetheless raised his profile considerably.

Recent form

Leavitt bounced back emphatically in February 2023 with a first-round TKO of Victor Martinez built on elbows and knees, but consistency remained elusive. He was submitted by Chase Hooper in November 2023, then returned to form with a first-round anaconda choke of veteran Kurt Holobaugh in May 2025. He outpointed unbeaten prospect Yadier del Valle over three rounds in February 2026 before being caught in a first-round front choke by Joanderson Brito in June 2026, leaving him at 13-4 as a professional.

Fighting style

Leavitt is a submission-first grappler whose game is built on a wrestling base, scrambling ability and an opportunistic finishing instinct. Seven of his 13 wins have come by submission and two by knockout, giving him a 69 percent finish rate, and his arsenal ranges from heel hooks and anaconda chokes to the inverted triangle and the famous slam knockout of Wiman. He is at his best dragging fights to the mat and hunting chokes from dominant angles. His most demonstrated vulnerability has come on the ground against elite grapplers, with all three of his submission losses showing that he can be caught when the scrambles do not break his way.
