UFC career

De La Rosa carried that momentum onto the UFC roster. At the TUF 26 Finale in December 2017 she submitted Christina Marks by first-round armbar, then returned at the TUF 27 Finale in July 2018 to choke out Rachael Ostovich with a third-round rear-naked choke. Her signature win came in February 2019 at UFC 234, where she submitted the previously unbeaten Nadia Kassem via armbar. The flyweight gauntlet tightened from there: she lost a decision to Andrea Lee in June 2019, dropped another to Viviane Araujo in September 2020, and fought Mayra Bueno Silva to a majority draw in February 2021. She rebounded that June with a second-round TKO of Ariane Lipski da Silva, but then hit a rough patch – decision losses to Maycee Barber (2022) and a submission loss to the unbeaten Tatiana Suarez (2023), followed by a decision defeat to JJ Aldrich. After a points loss to Gillian Robertson in a 2024 Karate Combat grappling bout, she steadied herself in June 2024, avenging the earlier defeat to Andrea Lee with a split-decision win in their rematch.

Fighting style

De La Rosa is a grappler at heart. Eight of her 13 wins have come by submission – armbars, rear-naked chokes and a D'Arce among them – reflecting a 69% finish rate driven almost entirely by her ground game. She uses her wrestling and jiu-jitsu to hunt for the back and for limbs, and at her best she is relentless once the fight hits the canvas. The honest counterweight is her striking and her record against the division's elite: six of her nine losses have come by decision, often when she's been kept at range or out-positioned by stronger strikers, and the flyweight contenders have repeatedly tested her path upward.
