Flyweight grind and the move up

Her early UFC run came at flyweight, where the results were uneven. She dropped a unanimous decision to Maryna Moroz in March 2020, fought to a majority draw with Montana De La Rosa in February 2021, and lost a decision to surging contender Manon Fiorot later that year. The grappling, however, never stopped producing: she went on a tear after moving to bantamweight, outpointing Yanan Wu in April 2022 and then submitting Stephanie Egger by first-round armbar that August.

Title-contender run

Bueno Silva announced herself as a bantamweight threat in February 2023, finishing Lina Länsberg with a second-round kneebar. That July she headlined against former champion Holly Holm and locked up a standing guillotine, a result later overturned to a no contest. The momentum stalled at the elite level: she lost a five-round decision to Raquel Pennington for the vacant title in January 2024, then dropped bouts to Macy Chiasson, Jasmine Jasudavicius, Jacqueline Cavalcanti and Michelle Montague as opponents increasingly forced the fight to the feet and away from her best weapons.

Fighting style

Bueno Silva is, first and foremost, a finisher: seven of her ten wins have come by submission, with an additional knockout, giving her an 80% finish rate that ranks among the most aggressive in the division. Her armbar is a signature, and her kneebar and choke entries make every scramble a threat. The flip side shows in her record — six of her seven losses have come by decision, reflecting a striking and pacing game that elite opponents have learned to exploit by keeping the bout standing and denying her the mat. When she gets a body to grapple with, though, few in the division are more dangerous.
