Finding her footing in the UFC

The early Octagon run was a grind. Edwards dropped back-to-back unanimous decisions to Karol Rosa and Jessica-Rose Clark in 2021, learning the level at the top of the division the hard way. She turned the corner in 2022 with a unanimous decision over Ramona Pascual at UFC 275 and a split-decision win over Ji Yeon Kim at UFC 277, then edged Lucie Pudilová by split decision in April 2023 to build momentum.

The climb to contention

A pair of decision losses – to Nora Cornolle in 2023 and to Ailín Pérez at UFC 302 in 2024 – threatened to stall her, but Edwards answered with the best stretch of her career. She submitted Tamires Vidal with a third-round rear-naked choke in October 2024, then went on a finishing run: a first-round TKO of Chelsea Chandler in April 2025 and a first-round knockout of Priscila Cachoeira that August. She avenged the Cornolle loss in February 2026 with a second-round rear-naked choke, then capped the run with a unanimous decision over former title challenger Norma Dumont in April 2026 to firmly enter the bantamweight top tier.

Fighting style

Edwards is a versatile, well-rounded bantamweight whose record reflects two distinct phases: a finisher early, and a sharp decision fighter in between. Across 18 wins she has eight knockouts, four submissions and six decisions for a finish rate around 67 percent, and notably has never been stopped by strikes – her only career submission loss came years ago on the regional scene. Her boxing roots give her power and crisp combinations, while a maturing grappling game produced the chokes of Vidal and Cornolle. Her willingness to take short-notice fights and grind out close decisions has occasionally cost her on the scorecards, but her late-career surge of finishes shows a fighter who has added a killer instinct to her durability.
