Dan Ige Record: 19-12-0

After college, Ige transitioned into mixed martial arts, initially training while working jobs to support himself—everything from construction to security. He eventually moved to Las Vegas to pursue MMA full-time, enrolling at Xtreme Couture and later also working as a fight manager. His dedication, both inside and outside the cage, quickly set him apart.

MMA Debut & Rise to UFC

Dan Ige made his professional debut in 2014 and began climbing the ranks of the regional circuit with a strong grappling base and growing confidence in his striking. He competed in organizations like RFA and Pancrase before earning a shot on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2017. Despite winning his fight via first-round submission, he didn’t receive an immediate UFC contract.

Undeterred, Ige stayed active and ready—and just months later, he got the call. He made his official UFC debut in January 2018, facing Julio Arce. Though he lost by decision, Ige rebounded quickly and put together an impressive six-fight winning streak, defeating names like Kevin Aguilar, Mirsad Bektić, and Edson Barboza. The Barboza bout, in particular, marked a turning point: it was Ige’s first co-main event and his biggest test to date. Though the decision was close and somewhat controversial, Ige’s grit and pace earned him respect from fans and peers alike.

He went on to headline multiple UFC cards, facing elite featherweights like Calvin Kattar, Chan Sung Jung, and Josh Emmett. While not always victorious, Ige consistently delivered competitive performances and showed his ability to hang with the division’s best.

Fighting Style & Attributes

Nicknamed "50K" for his frequent Performance of the Night bonuses, Ige is known for his toughness, pressure, and willingness to stand and trade even when outgunned.
